2019-20 Worldskills Hong Kong Competitions (Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing)

The Beauty Therapy in WorldSkills Hong Kong Competition (WHK_BE) 2019/20 was successfully conducted on 19 September 2020.  Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first time in which online assessment was introduced into the WorldSkills Hong Kong Competition.   The competition was conducted at three different sites with live cameras and scrutineers monitoring the competitions and collecting evidences for the judges in various locations.  The judges accessed the performance of the competitors through computer screens. Ms. Cynthia Ling, Expert of WHKC and the Chief Expert of WorldSkills Shanghai 2021, expressed that the online assessment is a new try and proved to be very effective.  With the help of cameras, judges could inspect and observe the performance of competitors from various angles.  The scrutineers onsite could also collect evidence to facilitate the work of the judges, and at the same time, maintain the fairness of the competition.
