Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first time in which online assessment was introduced into the WorldSkills Hong Kong Competition. The competition was conducted at three different sites with live cameras and scrutineers monitoring the competitions and collecting evidences for the judges in various locations. The judges accessed the performance of the competitors through computer screens.
